Our Next Portrait Session: the Artsy-est Food Drive!

Next life drawing session, we’re trying something different!

This will be a portrait session, and we’ll be inviting participants to take turns posing. Instead of our regular entry fee, we’re asking everyone to bring in food bank donations.

As this is a clothed session, it will also be open to students aged 16 and up.

Please note: even though we are all supportive, this is not an art lesson! Participants must bring their own supplies and will not receive educational guidance. Please be respectful of everyone’s comfort by using low-odor or odorless art supplies and abstaining from wearing strongly scented products.

    • … would like to see what it’s like to model (clothed).

    • … are on a budget.

    • … want to have a great time connecting with other local creatives!

  • Our official date and time are TBA. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram, or join the Life Drawing Moncton group on Facebook.

  • All donations will be taken to Second Mile Foodbank after the event.

  • We would love for you to join us in the artmaking fun, but if you’re unable to linger, we will be present 30 minutes before and after the session if you’d like to drop off donations.

To avoid disrupting attendees, we kindly ask that you not enter the workspace during our session, but we will leave a drop-off bin in the foyer for your donations.

  • The food bank is in need of popular staples, such as:

    • Kraft Dinner

    • Peanut Butter

    • Rice

    • Pasta

    • Canned tomatoes

    • Canned veggies

    • Instant noodles

    • Canned entrees (ie: Chef Boyardee)

Please only bring non-perishable food items.

Our next drawing session* will be:

Thursday, June 25th

6:30-8:30pm

If you haven’t been already, you should totally check it out! If you’ve drawn with us before, we’d love to see you again! Entry is $20 at the door or $15 when you prepay, so click the button below to RSVP today!

Our long pose sessions consist of a single pose over a three-hour session, with two short breaks in between. Participants are welcome to bring painting supplies provided they use odorless or low-odor solvents (please confirm with Nat beforehand). Like our life drawing sessions, this is not an art lesson, and supplies are not included. However, we welcome all experience levels and promote an inclusive artmaking environment! Please note: To ensure we meet our minimum attendance requirement, everyone must book and pay in advance for this event!
